Big Stuff Happening at Jason Bradley HQ!

Jason and colored lights

We’ve got some big stuff happening over the next three weeks. The Super Bowl is over. Everyone is gone. So, we can stop acting like we relish the sub-zero temps. I know better, and you can’t snow the snowman. The good news? We’re on the upswing just in time for you to come on out and celebrate with me. This Saturday, I will be back at Maverick’s Wood Grill in Champlin at 9pm. Amazing food, it feels like family, and there’s a rock and roll show to boot. I hope that if you’re around, you’ll come on out. The following weekend (the 17th) I’ll be doing a conference in Mountain Lake, way down in the southwestern corner of Minnesota. Then on the 24th, I’ll be at Wild Mind Artisan Ales in Minneapolis from 7-10pm.

That’s a whole lot of rock and roll for your February! Get out your big red marker and circle the dates, because I know, as well as you do, that its been way too cold and you need a release. See you out there soon!

Happy New Year… It’s Go Time!

Pre concert room at Las Vegas House of Blues

First off, I want to take the time to wish you all a Happy New Year! Despite having to loading up the gear in sub-zero temperatures, and maybe drive through a blizzard or two, I am really looking forward to the next string of dates. January marks that time of year where we start over on another trip around the sun, and we continue the journey to become more of the us we really want to be.

This January, I’m picking up a new gig at J’s Down Under in Buffalo, MN. I’m excited for the opportunity! It’s been a while since I’ve journeyed out west to enjoy an evening of rock and roll with all of you. If you’re out in that area, I hope you’ll come out to say hi on January 19th. I’a doing some conferences and retreats around the state this year, so that will be a lot of fun. The Maverick’s gig is still going strong. They want to give me exclusivity on Saturday nights. That means I might be doing a lot more shows there, as well. Check out all of the dates here.

I hope to have a lot more goodies online this year, as well. Make sure to follow me on Instagram, as I’m putting up one-minute versions of covers and originals for everyone. Let me know if you want to hear something specific that’s not up there yet. I’m also getting some live tracks up on SoundCloud as I can.

I can’t wait to see you all out on the road this year. It’s 2018, and it may be as cold as the arctic outside, but I assure you that you will stay nice and cozy warm when you come and see me wherever I am playing. Who’s ready to take on this year with me? It’s go time!

Merry Christmas To All and To All A Good Night

Jason in a nativity scene

Hey!

Wow, it’s Christmas week already. This season will chew you up and spit you out if you let it. Last night I just finished my gig as technical director and sound engineer for a local Christmas musical. It was quite the production. Now, it’s back to your regularly scheduled gigs.

I’ve got a couple more that I’m doing this year that weren’t originally on the calendar. I’m going to do a Christmas Eve morning set, as well as a chill New Year’s Eve set. I also picked up a second Maverick’s gig on December 30th at 9pm, and we’re going to rock 2017 out.

This time of year is supposed to be marked by peace, goodwill to men, silent night, and all of that. It should be a time of reflection and joy. So many times though, it’s just not. What do we do about that? How do we recapture that piece of ourselves? It doesn’t come easily. Life comes at you at one hundred miles an hour, and sometimes all you can do is brace for impact. It’s not always fair. It’s not the collision that is the problem though. Those things are going to come. You don’t have a say in that. It’s all how you walk away from the wreckage. It’s so important to find peace in the middle of the storm. That is the challenge in all of it. For me, I make sure to remember where my source of peace comes from… faith in something bigger than me that sees the bigger picture in all of it. Sometimes, it’s a moment to moment struggle, but it’s so important.

As my friends, I want to to wish you a Merry Christmas. If Christmas isn’t your thing, that’s cool. Just know that I’m hoping for something good for you. I believe that you deserve only the best. I’ll see you soon.

Peace, love, and all that,

JB

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends!

Tom Turkey with his tail fanned out

I’m not sure what I love more, the fresh cranberry sauce or the mincemeat pie (it’s probably the pie), but there’s something about Thanksgiving that I absolutely love. It might be the food, or that the Vikings are going to dominate the Lions and pretty much sew up the NFC North in Week 11… but I think that it’s more that I can kind of shut off my ever-working brain and think about the things in my life that I’m really thankful for. I believe that gratitude and thankfulness should be critical parts of our everyday lives. I try to remember where I’ve come from, where I’m headed, and who has helped me to get here. It might be something that I see as a victory. It’s not always a happy story at the time, but the things I take from those moments that make me better deserve as much thankfulness as the times that I come out winning. Either way, it’s important that we are thankful, and that we let those with an impact know that we are thankful for them. Like you… I’m thankful for you. If you come to my shows, read my website, download my music, tell someone about it… you are amazing in my book! Without you, I’m just making noise for the sake of making noise. Thank you for being there to receive the sounds I emit. This is an interesting journey… and I wouldn’t want to do it without all of the friends I’ve made along the way. I hope to see you all at Maverick’s 10th Anniversary party on 11/30/17. I’ll be on from 7 to 8pm, with my friends in the Redneck Hippies on after me. It’ll be an amazing time, with proceeds going to charity. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and I’ll see you all very soon!

It Is Time For My Annual Birthday Show

Dancing Crowd at House of Blues Las Vegas

It’s that time again. I’m having another birthday. I don’t like to talk about it much, but since I can’t avoid it, I might as well surround myself with people I love. We’re going to do it up at Maverick’s the way we always do. I’m going to sing songs for you and I get your company. I’m the real winner in that deal, let me tell you. I’ll be there by 8pm to mingle and start playing at 9pm. Bring your friends and be ready to have a fun evening. Maybe I’ll even plan some birthday surprises. If you’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to come back out, this is it! See you there!

Hear My New Song- The March

I decided to sit down with my phone in a big ‘ol room, pick a song I wrote, and see what comes out. I was so pleased with the outcome, that I thought I’d share it with all y’all. I think I will do a number of songs this way (some old, some new), just so that I can keep sharing. I’d love to hear your feedback. I’d also love it, if you like what you hear, that you might decide it’s worthy of sharing with your friends. Word of mouth is the best way you can be a part of the team. Your friends will be eternally grateful to you if you help them find something they enjoy. Be a good friend! Thank you all so much in advance for your time and attention. You have no idea how much I appreciate you!

Catching My Breath

Jason summoning the crowd

Hey!

I just want to say hello to everyone for a moment. I know, I’m terrible at updating this thing. The good news is that I’ve almost always got my gigs updated, and you can always stop out to see how things are going, right? I’m so thankful for all of you that do. Otherwise, I’d just be strumming away in my living room. That’s not really my style. I’ve got a ton of shows this summer, and there’s some unique ones in there, so make sure to come on out and celebrate with me. I’m looking forward to the #BuskBecker event again this year. I’m going to be doing almost all original music. I was playing around Dallas for a spell in June, and I’m headed up I-94 in August. I love what I do and I’m so glad I get to walk it out with all of you!

Love, peace, and rock and roll,

JB

Surprise Maverick’s Acoustic Gig

Hello, friends!!! I wanted to give you a quick heads up, to let you know that I will be at Maverick’s Wood Grill this Saturday night (7/30/16) at 9pm. This is kind of a last minute show, so it wasn’t on my schedule. I hope that you will consider coming out to sing along with me. We’re going to have some fun!

A whole mess of gigs, and winning awards

Foolish Pride Video Capture

Wow. Time is a cruel master. It stops for no one, and you either keep on top of the wave or the rip current drags you out to sea. I feel like there is so much that I need to tell you all about, while I’m finally able to catch my breath. It ‘s been a year of pedal to the metal, winning awards, and writing new material.

The short film that I did with Rob Kerr, At the End of the Line, as now won four awards (Near Nazareth FestivalHudson Valley, Back In The BoxBest Shorts Competition), including Best Song and Best Music Video. That’s exciting news as festivals around the world continue to take interest in our little film that could.

I’ve been up at Maverick’s Wood Grill monthly, and continuing with my weekly gig at Park. It’s been amazing to be able to play as much as I have. With over 100 gigs last year and a whole mess again this year, it has given me an opportunity that many other people aren’t fortunate enough to realize. Not a day goes by, that I’m not super thankful for the ability to be as active as I am in the music world. I owe that to all of you that continue to come and see me on a regular basis. You make each outing memorable, and have given me a network of people I am proud to call friends. Y’all have done a lot for me, and I know that you will continue to inspire me as I walk this road.

I’ve definitely got more plans on the horizon, so please bear with me as they come to fruition.

I can’t wait to see you soon! Make sure to come on out this summer and say hi!

JB
