Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends!

Tom Turkey with his tail fanned out

I’m not sure what I love more, the fresh cranberry sauce or the mincemeat pie (it’s probably the pie), but there’s something about Thanksgiving that I absolutely love. It might be the food, or that the Vikings are going to dominate the Lions and pretty much sew up the NFC North in Week 11… but I think that it’s more that I can kind of shut off my ever-working brain and think about the things in my life that I’m really thankful for. I believe that gratitude and thankfulness should be critical parts of our everyday lives. I try to remember where I’ve come from, where I’m headed, and who has helped me to get here. It might be something that I see as a victory. It’s not always a happy story at the time, but the things I take from those moments that make me better deserve as much thankfulness as the times that I come out winning. Either way, it’s important that we are thankful, and that we let those with an impact know that we are thankful for them. Like you… I’m thankful for you. If you come to my shows, read my website, download my music, tell someone about it… you are amazing in my book! Without you, I’m just making noise for the sake of making noise. Thank you for being there to receive the sounds I emit. This is an interesting journey… and I wouldn’t want to do it without all of the friends I’ve made along the way. I hope to see you all at Maverick’s 10th Anniversary party on 11/30/17. I’ll be on from 7 to 8pm, with my friends in the Redneck Hippies on after me. It’ll be an amazing time, with proceeds going to charity. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and I’ll see you all very soon!
